IMPORTANT INFORMATION

START TIME:
This trip starts on Day 1 in Amalfi at 1 pm and finishes in Procida on the morning of Day 5 depending on weather conditions.

ACCOMMODATION ONBOARD THIS SAILING YACHT
This trip is accommodated entirely on board a yacht of between 48ft to 52ft. A typical yacht for 8 travellers is equipped with 4 double share cabins, 2/3 shared bathrooms and 2 showers. Our boats are real yachts and this is a real sailing trip. Yachts are designed to keep sleeping areas to the absolute minimum of space, while maximising common areas as much as possible.

Rooms are allocated on arrival by our skipper according to group composition, which means it is not possible to reserve or guarantee any specific berth or cabin. Single passengers will be paired up with another passenger of the same gender, this will mean sharing a double cabin with a double mattress. Everyone including the skipper shares the bathrooms on board.

While not everyone may feel entirely comfortable living in such close quarters, those who are looking to revel in the adventure and exhilaration of an authentic sailing trip usually find any discomfort from cramped living conditions is more than made up for by the whole experience.

PASSPORT DETAILS:
Please provide full passport details at time of booking including exact name as per passport, date of birth, nationality, issue and expiry dates as these are essential for booking services on this trip.

ADDITIONAL ACCOMMODATION:
Please note that the majority of our sailing trips start and/or finish at a marina or port. If you have pre-booked any additional accommodation through us, you will need to make your own way to the joining point on Day 1 and from the finish point on the final day. We do not provide transfers between hotels and the port/marina. Please check the Essential Trip Information for details.

SNORKELLING
There are many opportunities for snorkelling during this trip. Diving masks, snorkels and fins are provided onboard the yacht and are for use by all passengers. They are disinfected prior to use. Some customers may prefer to bring their own diving mask and snorkel from home and just use the fins available on board.

TRIP KITTY:
On this trip it's compulsory to contribute to a kitty of EUR50 per person. The kitty is an on-ground payment put into a central fund managed by travellers. It helps fund for breakfast and lunch on the boat and other small items such as ice, water, snacks and drinks. Travellers are responsible for the preparation of these meals onboard and to shop at port where supermarkets are often very close to the mooring. Kitty amounts are subject to change to reflect local price increases. On day 1, the skipper will talk through the kitty and how it will be managed (by yourself or fellow travellers) The kitty will be collected when you arrive at the welcome meeting or in stages throughout your trip.

Day 1: Amalfi
Benvenuto! Welcome to Italy. Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 1 pm in Amalfi today. After stopping by the local supermarket with your group leader to pick up supplies for your sail, the rest of the day is yours to discover Amalfi. With your free time, you could check out the medieval architecture of Sant' Andrea Cathedral and Cappuccini Convent. You may like to walk along the narrow trails through olive groves, vineyards and ancient villages. While the trails are steep and full of stairs, there are spectacular views over the ocean at regular intervals. This evening, why not join an optional dinner with your group and feast on local seafood and gelato? Tonight will be your first night on board the boat.
Day 2: Capri
Today, set sail to the Isle of Capri – once home to the magnificent holiday palaces of the Roman emperors. After you arrive in Capri, there is an optional excursion in a small motorboat to circumnavigate the Isle of Capri. View the island and its impressive cliffs and many grottos – including the green, white and famous Blue Grotto. To enter the Blue Grotto, you'll need to switch to a smaller rowboat, and although swimming in the grotto isn’t permitted, there’s a small platform close by where you can take a dip. After, there will be time to catch the bus to the Town of Capri or visit the hillside town of Anacapri. If you head there, it's worth visiting the Villa San Michele – the former home to a Swedish doctor that's built on the ruins of a Roman villa. Make your way to Capri Town by the Phnician Steps (Scala Fenicia), a long, steep stairway linking the towns of Capri and Anacapri. A moderate fitness level and comfortable shs are required if you decide to climb the steps.
Day 3: Forio, Ischia
This morning after breakfast, leave Capri and set sail toward Forio, in the north of Ischia Island. Ischia is a volcanic island in the Gulf of Naples, known for its mineral-rich thermal waters and hot springs. Along the way, stop for a swim in the idyllic waters and arrive in Forio in the afternoon. Tonight, you’re free to explore this little paradise on foot or partake in one of the optional activities your skipper recommends. As this is the most populated town on the island, there are lots of little restaurants and delicious spots to eat – your skipper will also know all the best dinner options, so you can find exactly what you’re in the mood for.
Day 4: Procida
This morning after breakfast, you’ll sail towards the island of Procida. Stop for a swim along the way, arriving in colourful Procida by the afternoon. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore the beautiful town on foot – chase the perfect photo, people watch at a café or visit the Palazzo d’Avalos, the island’s former prison. Tonight, sail to the main marina, stopping along the way at Marina Della Carricella to see one of the most photographed parts of the island. Then you can enjoy an optional group dinner in the town of rabbit stew or seafood, accompanied by a couple of glasses of local wine and some Limoncello. What better way to cap off a great sailing trip?
Day 5: Procida
There are no activities planned for today so you’re free to leave any time after breakfast. If you wish to spend more time here, just speak to your booking agent. **Got extra time?
